DAY 1
Full Day Sacred Valley Tour
Your Sacred Valley Tour will commence at 8 a.m. with your guide picking you up from your hotel lobby. We will journey on a winding road that surrounds the mountains north of Cusco. During our trip, we will make a stop at Alpaca Farm, where you can have an enjoyable and educational experience feeding four different types of South American camelids and learning about ancient weaving techniques. Our next destination will be the famous El Mirador (Lookout Point of the Sacred Valley), which provides a breathtaking view of the Sacred Valley and an opportunity to gain insight into Inca history. The Sacred Valley was a significant location for the Incas, and the area boasts an abundance of fertile plains in the high Andes region. You will also see the vast contour terracing and irrigation channels left behind by the Incas.
Then, we will proceed towards the Pisac ruins, where you can learn about the Inca culture and see impressive works of stone art and agricultural terraces. Following our exploration, we will visit the bustling handicraft market in the lower town of Pisac, where you can spend some time looking for bargains. Afterward, we will have lunch at a local Andean restaurant.
After lunch, we will drive along the Urubamba River towards Ollantaytambo. Once we arrive, we will visit the ruins, an important Incan construction site that was built during the Inca’s heyday. It is a well-preserved Inca town with impressive temples and a fortress. Finally, we will return to Cusco and drop you off at your hotel in the city.
